Practical guide
A warning is a decision point, not a verdict.
Some warnings call for cooling or cable checks. Others call for immediate backup and replacement planning. The message details decide the response.
Read the exact message
Do not rely on color alone. The description usually names the cause, such as sectors, temperature, performance or communication.
Separate urgency from annoyance
A cable-related communication warning may need a different response from a growing media-error warning. Both matter, but they do not mean the same thing.
Use history
A stable old warning and a rapidly worsening new warning deserve different levels of urgency.
Write down the response plan
Good alerts trigger clear actions: notify, back up, inspect, test, replace or monitor. Vague warnings are easy to ignore.
